HOW IT WORKS?
1. Choose a membership plan and create your account
The most preferred plan is the “FAMILY” account. It is a lifetime account for up to 10 pets with no additional charges.
You do not need to choose a plan level if you bought a retail package or have an activation code. Retail packages or activation codes already include a membership plan.
2. Add pets to your account
Create a profile for your pet in your account, and add photos and other details. Don’t forget to register your pet’s microchip and other identification details in the profile – municipal tag number, tattoo, etc. ScanMy.Name is a global pet registration network.
3. Link the tag number to your pet’s profile
If your pet’s profile is not linked to the smart tag, the pet’s profile will not be displayed once scanned.
4. Put a ScanMy.Name tag on the collar
Attach the silicone tag to the collar or harness.
5. When your pet is lost
Check your pet’s profile to ensure all relevant information has been added. You can mark your pet as lost using the lost pet alert button in your profile. The lost pet flyer can be printed or shared on social media. Make sure your contact information is up-to-date as well.
6. When your pet is found
The finder scans the smart dog tag with a smartphone. Once the tag is scanned, your pet’s profile will be displayed.
7. Easy to identify = easy to return
Through a secure form, we will contact the finder and the owner.
We protect your privacy. Once the chip is scanned, we will display only the necessary information and connect the finder with the owner. We will not display residence data, telephone number or email.
